This article covers an example of settings to configure a Discovery panel to communicate with a Permaconn unit over the serial port on the Discovery.
To achieve this, you will also need a J15 style serial connector to connect to the Discovery panel's Serial output.

Firstly note that it is IMPORTANT that you set the Serial device baud rate in the Discovery panel, and the Permaconn unit to match.
