Polling the Readers
On the Four Door Controller, readers are polled as RASs in the DGP programming, under Poll Arming Stations:
Tick the appropriate RAS number based on the following numbering:
In In Out Out
First door 1 5 9 13
Second door 2 6 10 14
Third door 3 7 11 15
Fourth door 4 8 12 16
Example: Door 19's IN RAS number would be 3 and the OUT reader would be 11, as Door 19 is the third door on the DGP, RAS 3 is the first IN reader for the third door, and RAS 11 is the first OUT reader for the third door.
Notes:
-
RAS LCD Fitted is only used when the RAS being polled has an LCD (i.e: Keypad)
- TS0870 Readers need to be configured with a Configuration Card and assigned a RAS Address using that config card. Consult the TS0870P Smart Card Programmer manual for more information.
- RASs 5 to 8 and RASs 13 to 16 (i.e: the second IN readers) are used where card plus PIN are used on the same door. For example, Door 1 may require the user to badge at RAS 1 and enter a PIN at RAS 5, where both RAS 1 and RAS 5 are on the same side of the door.
