1. From the Communications menu, select option 1 Setup, to access the Setup H/W menu.
• From the Setup menu, select Option 1 - Onboard to configure the onboard serial port.
2. Select option 2 Setup Paths, and then select Paths menu option 4. to define a communications path record for the Ethernet connection.
Press Enter to display the first item in the path menu.
Program the format “Computer Polled”, a name for the path, location “On Board”, slot (or Interface Port) “RS232-STU”, set the account code to match the computer address in the range 1 to 1024 (typically the same as the Challenger number), set the computer password to 0000000000, and Enable.
Many of the settings are similar to the ones required for UDP/IP configuration.

Note: A quick and easy "cheat" for connecting J15 serial is to use Path 3 (Management Software) and change the hardware to RS232 and Format to Computer Polled.
